Is the Live Well Life Planner right for you?

3 min readTracey Hancock

There are a lot of planners out there.

Some are great for keeping track of appointments. Some focus on productivity, habits or goals. Some give you a beautiful place to write your to-do list.

The Live Well Life Planner does some of those things too, but that’s not really why I created it.

I created it to help you step back from everything that fills your days, think about how you actually want to live, and make more room for that in your plans.

Because being organised and living well aren’t necessarily the same thing.

You can have a beautifully organised calendar and still feel like you’re spending most of your time keeping up with everything that needs doing.

So, if you’re wondering whether the Live Well Life Planner is right for you, here are a few things worth knowing.

A good planner shouldn’t just help you fit more in

A lot of the people who use my Planner are already pretty good at getting things done.

They manage work, family, responsibilities, appointments, deadlines and everything else that comes with a full life.

And being capable can make it surprisingly easy to keep adding more.

Another commitment? Find a gap. A busy week? Push through it. No room? Move something else.

The Live Well Life Planner isn’t designed to make you even better at squeezing things in.

It’s there to help you regularly pause, step back and think about what you actually want to make room for.

That might be a big goal or change. But it might also be more weekends away, seeing friends more often, making time for something you enjoy, working fewer evenings or finally doing something you’ve been talking about for years.

Your January plans don’t have to dictate your December

I love planning, but I don’t believe you have to rigidly stick to it for the next 12 months.

Life doesn’t work like that.

Circumstances change. Opportunities come up. Priorities shift. Something takes longer than expected. And sometimes we simply change our minds about what we want.

That’s why the 2027 Planner includes dedicated quarterly planning pages, along with monthly planning and the Weekly Reset.

They’re regular opportunities to pause, step back and notice how things are going.

You might decide to keep going exactly as you are. Or you might change the timing, do less, make something else more important or let something go completely.

Changing the plan doesn’t necessarily mean the plan failed, it’s about being real and adapting as you need to.

The things you care about need somewhere to go

Think about some of the things you’ve been saying you’d like to do.

A trip. A project. More time with someone. Something you want to learn. A day to yourself. A change you’ve been thinking about.

The things that demand our attention tend to find their way into our calendars fairly easily.

Meetings get booked. Appointments get made. Deadlines get set. Other people’s requests find a space.

The things we care about don’t always come with the same urgency.

The Planner gives you somewhere to write those things and keep bringing them back into view.

You can think about what you want the year to include, decide what matters this quarter, bring it into your plans for the month, and eventually give it space in an actual week.

You don’t need to be a perfect planner

This matters, especially if you’ve bought planners before and stopped using them.

You don’t need to fill in every page. You don’t need beautifully colour-coded plans. And you don’t need to use your Planner perfectly every day for it to be useful.

Some people write extensively in the reflection pages. Others jot down a few words. Some use their Planner every day, while others come back to it weekly or monthly to reflect, reset and plan.

So, is it right for you?

If you’re mainly looking for somewhere to record appointments or a highly structured productivity system that tells you exactly what to do with every hour, there are better options.

But if you want a Planner that helps you pause, step back from the To Do list, consider your whole life, all 8 elements of it, and be more deliberate about what you make room for, the Live Well Life Planner was created for exactly that.

It’s a Planner to help you have space to breathe, course-correct when you need to, and make more of the things you care about actually happen.

And that’s how you can create a life you feel really excited about.
