Living simply could be just the change you need to live your life well

Has life become overwhelming? A seemingly endless To Do list, non-stop demands and deadlines, and no time to simply be - to sit quietly, to breathe deeply and fill your soul with what it needs.
Live simply. Simply live.
A seemingly simple philosophy and one that can get swept aside.
Because in a world that often favours busyness and complication, simple wisdom can be, well, too simple.
We look for big explanations, long words and complicated theories that help explain why we feel the way we feel and live the way we live.
But what if all you needed to do was strip things back to what's really needed and to what truly brings you joy.
Do you really need to keep pushing yourself so hard all the time? Adding tasks to your To Do list, and setting impossibly high standards and berating yourself for not achieving them.
Do you really have to say "yes" to another responsibility or to having another late night at work?
Do you need to keep buying more things? Upgrading your home, car and electronic gadgets just to keep up with others or buying things in the hope they'll make you happy, only to end up deep in debt and needing to work some more!
Life can become so complicated. A cycle of stress, worry, doubt and fear. And then just when you think things can't get any more complicated, they do.
But it doesn't have to be that way.
You have the power of choice.
You can't always choose what happens in your life but you do have the power to choose what you do in response.
In fact, your power of choice is a super power!
Complicated brings with it a lot of stress - the sort of stress that doesn't serve you or your health well.
Your health, life and business dreams and goals become harder to achieve, or maybe they feel impossible.
The stress you feel is like a thick fog or sticky mud that just seems to keep you stuck.
So, knowing you have a super power, what one change, however big or small, could you make now to simplify your life for the better?
Maybe it's something you need to let go of, clearing some clutter, making a decision that you've been avoiding, saying "no" to something you've taken on. Whatever it is that feels right for you, do it.
Transformation occurs when we consistently commit to managing our thinking and taking action. Take a fresh look now at whether the way you're living reflects what's important to you. As you shift your thinking, notice what changes you need (and want) to make to live simply, simply live.
