There's something special about the move into spring. After hibernating through winter, going inward to rest, it's nice to start to stretch and expand into the newness of now.
Spring is a time of new growth, new projects, new beginnings.
So with that in mind, have you got something that's ready to sprout or bloom? And I don't just mean in your garden - I'm talking about new projects or changes that you're about to make or have perhaps already started working on.
One of the projects I've been working on is developing the 12-month Live Well programme for 2020. I'm incredibly passionate about this programme because I know it can (and does) make a huge difference in people's lives.
Because most people go through life simply trying to survive the day. And I get it because I used to live life like that too, right up until I was hit by a big health scare in my mid-20s. That scare jolted me into looking at the way I was living with fresh eyes and it was when I committed to making some changes.
Starting on the inside, I explored who I really was and what I wanted for my life. And what I realised was this... I'd never really asked myself those questions before, let alone answered them! And while many would probably say I was successful in life and work, I knew something was missing and that it was possible to feel more fulfilled.
Have you ever stopped to think about who you really are and what you want for your life?
If not, you might be thinking it's selfish or that there's no time or you don't have the energy for it. Or maybe, it seems too big or scary.
It isn't selfish to think about yourself (it really isn't). And yes, you're right, it will take time and energy but what's the alternative? Get to the end of your life with regrets and realise there's no longer a chance to change anything because it's simply too late.
Devote to yourself, fully now
Investing time, effort and energy into knowing yourself better and getting clear about what you want is an incredible gift not only to you but everyone around you.
But if you don't stop and answer those all-important questions, then who will do it for you?
The truth is, no one will.
As sad or as frustrating as it might seem, no one is responsible for your life - that's your job! And although you might feel like you have to live up to the expectations of others, my bet is once you're more confident about who you are and what you want, those expectations won't be such a burden.
Because they'll slip away from your conscious awareness. You won't give them your attention anymore because you're focused on yourself and your own life.
Gain the clarity and confidence you need to live your life well now
And that's just what we focus on in the LIVE WELL programme. Through guided exercises, your own exploration and discussions within a private group, we explore what it is to live well. And remember, it's not selfish! When you're well taken care of, you'll show up as the best version of yourself and be in a better position to help others.
Here's what one of this year's programme participants has to say...
The Live Well Programmer has changed my life this year. I am focused and know exactly why I am doing what I am doing each day. I am not in autopilot anymore wondering why I feel unfulfilled at the end of the week. The deep dives are thought-provoking in a gentle way. I appreciate the support group as well. I will definitely sign up next year.
